History

Founded in 1927, Iberia (Iberia Líneas Aéreas de España, S.A.), is the main airline in Spain, and has as subsidiary airlines Iberia Regional (operated by the independent airline Air Nostrum) and Iberia Express. Iberia also carries out aircraft maintenance, handling and catering at airports. In 2010, Iberia merged with British Airways to form International Airlines Group (IAG), although both airlines continue to operate under their respective names.
