Alicante Airport
Welcome to Alicante Airport (ALC)
Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández Airport (IATA code: ALC, ICAO code: LEAL), also popularly known as Alicante-El Altet, is located 8 kilometers southwest of Alicante and operates 24 hours a day, year-round.
Situated in a prime tourist area, the Costa Blanca, it serves major cities in the province, including Alicante, Benidorm, Torrevieja, Calpe, Altea, and Jávea. Its reach also extends to several towns in the province of Valencia, as well as the Region of Murcia, covering Murcia, Cartagena, La Manga, and Mazarrón.
Although both Valencia and Murcia have their own airports, Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández Airport is the largest and most internationally connected airport in the region, handling a high volume of passengers and operating numerous medium-haul routes to European destinations.
Since 2011, it has featured a modern passenger terminal, known as the New Terminal Area (NAT). Additionally, it houses two other terminals (T1 and T2), which are currently inactive but ready for use if demand increases.
Alicante Airport currently has a single runway (10/28) measuring 3,000 x 45 meters (9,842 x 148 feet), located at an elevation of 43 meters above sea level.
